From July to October a good chance to spot whales calving. Once described
by Craig Parry as his favourite Australian golf course. The windswept
fairways are typical linksland with swales and undulations, and the smooth
greens are very quick with subtle variations. The vegetation consists
of Albany "woolly" bushes and "peppies" that make for tight driving from
many tees. The course plays particularly long with the hardy kikuyu grass
and prevailing wind conditions. A very enjoyable and testing layout. Visitors

in the Armadale hills. The fairways are lush couch, and the greens are
smooth, undulating and fast. The course presents wondrous views of wooded
valleys below, with some holes stretching from the tee over the horizon.
Signature hole is the ninth, a thrilling downhill par four. A long drive
is required to reach the landing area before the lake, which must then
be carried to reach the green. This is the only serious water carry on
the course. Membership numbers are restricted to permit public and corporate

the club celebrated its 50th birthday in 1998. The course is typified
by wide gently undulating fairways sewn with a mix of couch and winter

abound in the broad roughs that separate the holes. There are blackboys
and diverse native shrubs and grasses. The entire site is set on perfectly
