A true links that rises out of the sea and is set totally in coastal sand dunes. Magnificent views from the fairways over King George Sound. From July to October a good chance to spot whales calving. Once described by Craig Parry as his favourite Australian golf course. The windswept fairways are typical linksland with swales and undulations, and the smooth greens are very quick with subtle variations. The vegetation consists of Albany “woolly” bushes and “peppies” that make
for tight driving from many tees. The course plays particularly long with the hardy
kikuyu grass and prevailing wind conditions.
A very enjoyable and testing layout. Soft spikes required.

This layout designed by Roger Mackay and Michael Coate is built high up in the Armadale hills. The fairways are lush couch, and the greens are smooth, undulating and fast.

The course presents wondrous views of wooded valleys below, with some holes stretching from the tee over the horizon. Signature hole is the ninth, a thrilling downhill par four. A long drive is required to reach the landing area before the lake, which must then be
carried to reach the green. This is the only serious water carry on the course.

A very well-wooded course in a peaceful, rural setting with huge Eucalypts, many
WA Redgums, ancient Marri and Peppermints. Designed by Murray Dawson, the fully
irrigated couch fairways are flat to gently undulating, but have hollows and mounds
to create interest. The entire layout is built
on sandy soil, and the bunkers are filled with light fluffy sand. The greens are excellent, true and undulating. There is no thick grass
in the heavily wooded roughs so that lost balls are generally not a problem.

The original 18 (Pines and Island nines) designed by Thomson & Wolveridge.
Built on pure sand, drainage is never
a problem. The Lake nine, designed
by Michael Coate opened in 1996.
It's slightly narrower and with fewer
trees, but the greens are more treacherous and the bunkering set up to challenge
the long hitters.

The course features magnificent undulating Santa Ana couch fairways and vast undulating greens surrounded by mounds and tricky slopes. Both fairways and greens are
thoughtfully bunkered, generally with
large but shallow traps. The course is fully reticulated, and features resort style
attention to golfers' requirements.

The greens are superb and true to putt on, firm, mostly flat but with a few surprising undulations. The course is compact with a layout that demands no long walks from green to tee. strategically bunkered and manicured.

This brilliant Graham Marsh design reflects the style of traditional Scottish links with fast
running couch fairways (Windsor Green on the original ‘Links' nine and Wintergreen on the ‘Dunes' which opened in Feb 1999) pitted with well-positioned pot bunkers. Red Fescue highlights the light rough and surrounds the pure 1019 Bent grass greens which are a delight to putt on. The course is beautifully undulating and very pleasant walking, soft spikes (optional) are a good idea to cope with the ever-present cart paths. The presentation is a tribute to superintendent Allan Devlin. Strict dress code.

The Championship layout was originally
conceived by Alan Bond and designed by Murray Dawson. The land was barren
scrubland 25 years ago, so planted trees are of modest size now.

The fully irrigated course is beautifully
undulating and very sandy. A mixture of couch and softer winter grasses coexists. Ancient Tuart Trees and an abundance of wildlife (Kangaroo, Emus) dot the landscape.
The well-placed bunkers are full of lovely fluffy sand. The roughs are wide, insulating each hole from its neighbours.
