Mangum's unique approach to golf instruction is the combination of over 100 years of putting lore with an intensive, 15-year study of the neuroscience of human targeting and movement control processes in the brain and body.Using this knowledge-base, Mangum teaches "The Mechanics of Instinct" for putting to allow the golfer to employ and enhance innate targeting and stroke movement processes during the putting routine. His specially designed routines and techniques are the most innovative in golf instruction in decades, and he regularly teaches the teachers, and has worked with select staff at some of golf's top schools, including the Jim McLean Golf School and the David Leadbetter Golf Academy.
