Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Spain - Coconuts, Calderas, Beaches, Equatorial Weather

The European Tour plays Cortijo this week (April 22-28, 2002), just outside Las Palmas on Gran Canaria, the capital of Spain's Canary Islands just off the coast of west Africa. At a latitude about the same as Orlando, the tessellation of island jewels that comprise the Canaries feature a mix of aboriginal culture, Spanish seafaring, Catholicism, innovative agriculture, and tourism.
