PGA Tour student, Shaun Micheel, went from 160th in putting on
Tour to winning the 2003 PGA Championship on the strength of his
putting within two months of working with Mangum. His first developmental
tour pro, Blake Adams, fired a personal-best, course-record, event-record,
tour-record 62 the very next morning after a lesson with Geoff
and won his event running away from the field. Veteran golf instructors
have hailed him as a genius in golf instruction who knows more
about putting than anyone on the planet.
In
the US, Mangum operates his elite putting academy at Country Club
of Whispering Pines in the Pinehurst area and teaches lessons
and clinics in Pinehurst (at Whispering Pines and at Foxfire Resort),
Asheboro (Tot Hill Farm GC), Hickory (Hampton Heights GC), Charlotte
(Renaissance Park GC), Burlington / Graham (The Challenge GC),
Greensboro (Bryan Park), and outside Winston-Salem in Wallburg
(Meadowlands GC). He also travels extensively within the US. His
